Accessibility Statement
Last updated: [REQUIRED — BUSINESS OWNER MUST COMPLETE: date of publication]
Dede is committed to making our website usable by as many people as possible, including people who use assistive technology such as screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, or other adaptive tools.
What We've Done
- Provided a visible "Skip Intro" option so our animated introduction never blocks access to the store.
- Made the introduction and its interactive elements operable by keyboard, not just mouse or touch.
- Respected your device's "reduce motion" preference — if you have this setting enabled, our animated intro is skipped automatically.
- Avoided flashing animation.
- Added descriptive alt text for meaningful images and labels for form fields.
- Worked toward sufficient color contrast and visible keyboard focus states throughout the site.
Our Goal
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, which is a widely recognized accessibility standard. This is a goal we are actively working toward, not a certification or guarantee — as a small, actively-developed site, some areas may not yet fully meet this standard.
Ongoing Work
Accessibility is an ongoing effort. If you encounter any barrier using this site, we want to know about it so we can fix it.
Contact Us
If you experience any difficulty accessing any part of this website, please contact us via our Contact page and let us know the page and issue you encountered. We will do our best to address it promptly.
[REQUIRED — BUSINESS OWNER MUST COMPLETE: this statement describes accessibility work actually done on the site as of this writing (see the audit checklist provided separately). Have it reviewed periodically as the site changes, and consider a professional accessibility audit if this becomes a larger part of your business — this statement is not a substitute for one.]
